Children and youth are welcomes to be a part of all aspects of life at Redeemer. On Sunday mornings we offer Children's Church, which is for preschool through 2nd graders. The children leave worship after the Children's Sermon and have a short lesson, returning to worship for Communion. We also have the Kid's Club after worship at 10:55 which shares Bible Stories with children preschool age to grade 5. There are variety of fun ways the kids are engaged during this time.
Confirmation is a two year program beginning in either 6th or 7th grade. This class is done collaboratively with other local ELCA churches in Elkhart and Bristol.
We offer two opportunities each week for Adult Education:
We have two women's groups that meet monthly for fellowship and service. One group makes blankets to give to various organizations in the community. The other group knits and crochets at Hubbard Hill with some of the residents there.
Our men's group meets one Saturday morning a month for breakfast at a local restuarant.
We have a group that cooks and provides meals for families after a funeral. This provides a time of coming together as a family and sharing in the joy of their loved one and also the grief of losing their loved one.
Our Altar Guild does the behind the scenes work for preparing our sanctuary for worship each week.
Our Fellowship Committee makes the plans for all of our fellowship activities and makes sure we have a good meal to share in together.
Our Social Ministry not only oversees the food pantry, but connects with other organizations in our community to work together in serving our community.
Our Endowment Committee connects with loved ones to use money given in memory for God's glory.
This last year our Energy Conservation Team has been hard at work replacing lightbulbs and fixtures so that we are conserving energy and being good stewards of using our space and money.
Our Property team does a great job keeping our building and grounds in order and taking care of things as the need arises!
Our Finance Team and Council help to make the best decisions for our congregation, being led by God's Holy Spirit. Our Council has been using a liturgical agenda to shape our meetings so that we are always reminded of God's presence in our midst.
